Firefighters Train with Jaws of Life
On Thursday, February 11, the Minier Fire Department trained on the use of the recently purchased battery operated Holmatro Extrication Tools, also known as the "Jaws of Life".
These tools are used on motor vehicle accidents when extrication is needed from a vehicle. Firefighters trained with two different scenarios. The first being with eggs to see who could lift the egg up and set it back down without cracking it. The second was the game Jenga to see who could removed the blocks from the tower without having the tower fall.
