Ava Mattson, the daughter of Mt. Hope Funks Grove FPD EMT Kamryn Mattson, has been battling cancer for the last few months. Ava received the unsettling diagnosis of cancer in December and has been undergoing treatment at St. Jude's. It is with a heavy heart that we report that Ava's most recent CT scan revealed that the chemotherapy is no longer working and that the tumors are advancing at this time. Ava's time with us is now limited and we are asking for everyone's prayers and support at this time for Ava and the Mattson family.
