Charles A. Greene, 83, of Tremont and Leesburg, FL, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 25, 1938 in Barterville, KY to Everett Alton and Clotine Ritchie Greene. He married Karen Shannon on May 26, 2012 in Tremont, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children by Linda Boone Greene, mother of, David Greene of Nicholasville, KY, Rhonda McCarty of Carlisle, KY, Beverly Frye of Carlisle, KY, children by Judith Adel Greene mother of, Coby Reeves of Quincy, Rahna Schwengel of Camp Point, IL, Tony Bliss of Quincy and Brennan Greene of Delavan; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four sisters, Jewell McCarty of Carlisle, KY, Freeda Bailey of Leesburg, FL, Lora Mae Dayton of Leesburg, FL, and Rita Baker of Richmond, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Caleb Greene and Jennifer Frye; and his faithful companion, Timone.
He was a successful businessman in the area with G&D Diesel and then G&D Trikes. He was a member of GWRRA Chapter Z. Charles enjoyed birdwatching, fishing, playing the harmonica, and riding motorcycles.
His funeral was held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 2, 2021 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Pastor Steve Waggoner officiated. Cremation was accorded following the services.
