The Waynesville Fire Protection District had a busy afternoon on Friday, April 2. Just before 4:00 PM, they were dispatched to a controlled burn that turned uncontrolled due to wind direction change. Upon completion of clean up and refilling the trucks, they were dispatched for a first alarm for a shed fire on Waynesville road. Crews were on scene within minutes and able to make a quick knock down.
