The girls soccer team also had a game on Monday evening, as they traveled to Pleasant Plains. The Spartans had a rough game, losing by a score of 8-0. The girls’ team has had many players battling through some aches and pains in this game, but their perseverance was not enough to overcome the soccer powerhouse of Pleasant Plains.

Tuesday afternoon, the Spartans continued their sports with baseball and softball against Rantoul, and girls soccer against Monticello, all at home. Starting with baseball, the Spartans picked up their second win of the week, 11-1 over the Eagles of Rantoul. A strong pitching performance from Ethan Davis and the Olympia offense staying live helped get the Spartans their fourth straight win.

Also on Tuesday, the softball team hosted Rantoul in a conference game. The Spartans came away with a quality win 10-3 over the Eagles. Tuesday also brought the softball team’s senior night, where they recognized four seniors for their impressive high school softball careers. Those seniors were Bree Morrow, Mariah Maris, Kennedy Smith, and Chloe Scroggins.

The girls soccer team hosted the Monticello Sages on Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans earned a conference win in a close 2-1 match. A goal from Kensie Kleinschmidt in the final 15 minutes of the match put Olympia ahead in just enough time to take the victory. Ida Neumann also had a goal with an assist from Erin Turner.

Wednesday, the Spartan’s baseball team was back in action with their third home game of the week against the Chiefs of Dee Mack. Olympia managed to escape with a win in a tight 3-2 ballgame. Junior Cole Kindred had a great game pitching going 6 innings allowing 3 hits and only 1 run, giving the Spartans a great opportunity to win.

Wednesday the Spartans girls soccer team also hosted another game against Athens. The girls lost a close 3-1 match to a solid team from Athens. Ida Neumann had the Spartans lone goal against a strong defensive Athens team.

Thursday afternoon, the Spartans softball and baseball teams both traveled to Rantoul and the girls soccer team traveled to St. Thomas More. Starting with baseball, the Spartans kept their bats hot, beating Rantoul 11-0. A strong pitching outing for junior, Adam Swartzendruber, led Olympia to the victory.

The Spartan softball team played in Rantoul as well on Thursday. They kept rolling against the Eagles with a 5-0 win. Freshman Danika Frazier threw a no-hitter for the Spartans to push their record to 11-0 on the season. Senior Mariah Maris was also a big factor in this game, going 2-2 with 2 RBIs.

Friday, the Spartans track and field boys and girls teams hosted their first meet of the week. This meet was a coed meet, where the scores from each school's girls and boys teams would be counted in determining a winner. Olympia took first place in this meet, with strong showing from both the girls and boys relay teams.

The Olympia softball team also played on Friday, traveling to Dee Mack for a non-conference matchup. The Spartans offense stayed hot, as it has been all season, as they won the game 16-0. The team had 15 hits in total on Friday, with freshman, Danika Frazier, leading the way with 2 homeruns. The Spartans improved to 12-0 on the season with this win.

The final matchup for the Spartans this week brought the baseball team to Washington for a night game against the Panthers. Olympia could not complete the comeback, losing 4-3 after scoring 2 runs in the sixth inning. A strong pitching outing from Zach O'Donnell and multi-hit games from Hayden Stork and Cole Kindred lead the Spartans but was just not enough as they fell to a very solid Washington team.
