Pub 52

Born from a need for paintball, Pub 52 has had a wild evolution. Explaining this evolution, owner Larry Morgan, took me on a quick tour of the property. We started on the paintball course, where he showed me a couple “Holes” for his next idea: paintball golf. Yes, this is exactly what it sounds like, and it looks just as hard. Next, he took me to the side of his building and pointed out his plans to expand the cement landing for more outdoor space. Larry also quickly told me about other ideas he has tried in the past: miniature golf and batting cages. Shrugging with a bit of a smile, Larry says “Some ideas work out, others don’t”.

Eventually, we landed in the seating area of the Pub to talk about the restaurant. While Larry never expressed it, during our conversation I got the sense that a restaurant was just another chapter in the evolution of this business and that it was just a matter of time before everything came to fruition. Speaking to their menu, Larry was quick to point out that Pub 52 doesn’t serve anything frozen. Their pizza is made by hand, along with the toppings cut in-house. To prove his point, Larry escorted me back into the kitchen for a quick look around and, sure enough, 2 employees were cutting fresh veggies for the evening. Larry was also excited to tell me about the Pubs tenderloins. “We’re killing it with these tenderloins, people really seem to enjoy them.”

If you’d like to see what the buzz is about Pub 52 is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M. You can find their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/Pub-52-102538358447786.
